a few more pics
Here is just a few more photos for those of you who haven't seen any yet. I included the cool sketch too!
Wedding
Yes it's true David and I got married on January 26th 2013 in Las Vegas. I have been meaning to write a post about it but got home and went right back to work. I was also waiting to get some of the pictures back. I wanted to thank everyone that made the trip to Vegas with us! and I especially want to thank Doranda for taking some amazing pictures! There was no outside photography during the ceremony. There was an on-site photographer though and here is the link to see those photos if anyone wants to check them out. www.aspecialmemory.com/photos/dtmadsen They are only available for viewing for about a week or two. They are available for purchase. They have a $50 minimum and I do plan on ordering some if anyone wants to add to my order they are $6 for an 4x6 (I think) and need to let me know by 15th of Feb or sooner. As for the photo's Doranda took I can get from Costco if anyone wants those. (I think they are way better!) (I tried to pick different photos then other people posted.)
The trip itself was quick and fun! We flew in Friday got married on Saturday walked around on Sunday and flew home Monday morning. We stayed at The Rio Suites. It's not a bad place and it was free with my rewards card! Our friends Cindy and Rob have a truck they keep there and let us use. When we landed we went right to get our license. Then went to pick Cindy and Rob up at the airport. We spent some time with them and went to bed early. Saturday morning we got up ate breakfast then got ready for the ceremony. A limo picked us up and took us to "the Wedding Chapel" downtown, where lots of my family was! The whole thing took about 30-45 minutes. The ceremony itself was only like 5 minutes! After Doranda took some pictures of us by the Bellagio hotel. Rob, Cindy David and I then went to dinner at one of my favorite places to eat. Mon A Gabi in the Paris hotel. We then headed back to the Rio. On Sunday we walked around the Venation hotel and a sketch artist draw a great chalk picture of us! Finally Sunday night we went and saw The Beatles Love. A Cirque Du Soleil show at the Mirage. I have seen a few different Cirque Du Soleil shows but this one was the best! That's about all we got in a quick weekend.

Glass Blowing Class
I can't believe how fast time goes by. I was going to blog on week one of class but then I decided to put it off till I could put up a picture of the really cool stuff I made....Well several weeks have gone by and I'm still waiting for the really cool stuff! Glass blowing is so much harder then I thought! I was planning on making tons of great things and giving them to everyone at Christmas. Ya that's not going to happen. I am slowly improving though. I had took a few classes before and everything came out great! That was a trick! The glass blower helper actually does about 90% off the work to make your piece look great and I had no idea until I tried it on my own! In real class it's probably about the opposite, I'm doing 90% of the work and things don't look quite so good. I am going to put up a few pictures but I don't want to give everything away. If I'm lucky a few of my pieces will be able to be gifts. (Keep in mind these look better in the pictures then person. You can't really tell the nothing sits flat, or the colors are not even, stuff like that.) I have made a snowman, jelly fish, Christmas ornaments, bowls, cups, and vases, ect. We do a lot of practicing in clear, which isn't very pretty and shows every flaw! I've broke a few thing too. This week is already my last week. I defiantly have enjoy it and want to do more. There is an advanced class I want to take but they are expensive and I need to save up again...

Mud Run
Rampage at the RAC

Saturday I did my first "mud run". Autumn did it with me. It was a lot of fun! I loved the obstacles but the running was a lot harder then I thought. I guess I should work-out more! I think I was pretty good at the obstacles though. The only one I wasn't great at was jumping up the hay stack. It was a bit tall for me and I had to step on the guys shoulder. I can't believe Autumn (who's 4'11") could do it though. She said she had lots of practice from sneaking out the window as a teenager. Apparently I didn't sneak out enough. It was a 5k. We finished in just under an hour. David and Sammy came to watch. He drove the motor home so we could clean up and change after. He also was our photographer, and watched Sammy too. I am so happy he is part of my life! Oh ya did I mention it was pouring down rain! I think I will do another one next year!

summer is comming
I love love love the summer time! I just can't wait for it to be here. I love playing in the sunshine! I like bbq's, boating, and longer days. They all just make me so happy! I have been trying to get a sneak preview of it by going to Las Vegas and Lake Havasu. One of my great girlfriends bought a house down there, shipped her boat down there then got a truck to keep by the Vegas airport to drive back and forth to the lake. Twice now I have been fortunite enough to take adventage of that. I just have to buy a ticket and i'm off to sunshine :) I just got back the other day it was 105 degrees when I was there. I love it down there so much I plan on going 2 more times this year (in the fall when it cools down a bit). Hopefully someday I can get a place there myself to snowbird or retire to.
